Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk, has named Holland giants, Ajax as the team he wants Jurgen Klopp’s side to play against in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals stage.
Van Dijk, who scored a goal in his side’s 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday, stated this ahead of Friday’s Champions League quarter-final and semi-final draws.
The draws ceremony will begin at 11am GMT and it will take place at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Asked which team he wants in the quarter-finals, Van Dijk told Veronica TV: “Ajax? That would be a nice game.
“I really don’t care at all but we will probably draw an English club again.
“But it would be difficult because Ajax is doing fantastic in the Champions League.”
