Callum Hudson-Odoi has broken silence on his side’s 3-0 win over Malmo in the Europa League round of 32 second-leg encounter on Thursday night.
Goals from Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi gave Chelsea all three points against Malmo at the Stamford Bridge.
Hudson-Odoi said Maurizio Sarri’s men won against Malmo because they paced themselves well throughout the duration of the match against the visitors.
“I’m happy with the result first of all,” Hudson-Odoi told BT Sport.
“All of the boys worked really hard, we played really well throughout the game and I think our mentality was strong.
“We knew they were going to come out fast because they needed to get a goal so we paced ourselves well throughout and I think we deserved the result that we got.
“I’m happy with the goal, obviously that’s a bonus for the good work that the team did today.”
