Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, will not feature in Nigeria’s international friendly game with Uganda on Tuesday at the Asaba Stadium.

The Brighton and Hove Albion star picked up a slight knock during Nigeria’s 1-1 draw with South Africa on Saturday in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation qualifying match.

According to CSN, Balogun is expected to fly back to his club in England direct from Johannesburg for further checkups.

“After picking up a slight knock in yesterday’s game, Leon Balogun has been excused from Tuesday’s friendly against the Cranes of Uganda,” a team official confirmed to CSN.

“He’ll head straight to England from South Africa.”
